Time for another movie review and this time it is the movie Olympus has fallen that is just out on DVD. Olympus is the secret service code word for presidential residence famous abode in Washington. The movie starts with a day not only the South Korean prime minister visits but also terrorists with obscure North Korean ties. They come in a way that may remind you of 11 September and reaches its target before the counterattack begins.

The President and his guest is sent with the present employees lose protection in the underground bunker that is ready for that kind of situation. The bunker will be the new command – but for the terrorists.
The White House has fallen into the cruellest enemy hands. The only possible salvation is a lone security guard. After an earlier failure as president family’s bodyguard, he left the field work, but now he makes a highly dramatic comeback. Full of patriotism and revenge necessary, he is prepared to do whatever it takes to save their country and their president – not to mention the president’s young son.
The mindset bare hero’s secret weapon is local knowledge. From his years as a bodyguard, he knows all about the White House’s many nooks. He knows every secret passages leading and what is hidden behind closed doors. In addition, he has the technical skills required to communicate with the hostages and hostage takers.
A dramatic day the White House has hardly experienced in reality. Hopefully it will never happen. But although the film constantly sacrifice pieces of his credibility on any voltage altar becomes enough left for a bleak insight.
The movie is packed full of action, but things are so unbelievable and you always can know what will happen next in the movie. I gave Olympus has fallen a rating of 5/10 on IMDB. Worth a watching if you do not have much else to do on a rainy evening.
